Job Summary:

Amaka Enterprise is seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to join our team. The Sustainability Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring sustainability initiatives across our various companies, ensuring alignment with our commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and sustainable business practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy for Amaka Enterprise, setting measurable goals and objectives in line with the company's values and commitment to sustainability.

2. Collaborate with stakeholders from various companies within the conglomerate to identify opportunities for sustainability improvements, develop action plans, and ensure the integration of sustainability practices into daily operations.

3. Monitor and report on the progress of sustainability initiatives, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.

4. Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to sustainability, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of sustainable business practices.

5. Develop and deliver sustainability training and educational programs for employees, fostering a culture of sustainability and environmental awareness across the organization.

6. Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, industry associations, and relevant stakeholders to enhance the company's reputation as a sustainability leader.

7. Evaluate the environmental and social impact of company operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

8. Oversee the development and implementation of sustainability-related policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

 

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sustainability management role, preferably within a corporate setting.

3. Strong knowledge of sustainability principles, best practices, and industry standards.

4. Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

6. Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and initiatives.

7. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret sustainability data to inform decision-making.

8. Commitment to promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship within a corporate environment.
